In a recent YouTube video release, Representative Dick Stevenson explains why a tax increase at this time is wrong for the people of Pennsylvania.
“A tax increase at this time would be devastating for Pennsylvania in my view.
The whole country is struggling at this time of economic hardship and for us to
impose a tax increase on the people of Pennsylvania would cause only more
hardship and difficulty for the folks we represent.”

When will budget be passed? According to the Fair Labor Standards Act,If we work, we must get paid. For the state to require us to work while delaying our paycheck is illegal.The FLSA provides for massive liquidated damages–up to $10,000 per violation, in addition to wages due–for violations. We are doing our job, what about our elected officials doing their job! Rendell cares nothing for the people of Pennsylvania. His casino plans helped not the working class, where are these tax breaks? I remember him handing out huge paper checks in the news media to various forms and functions, how does one cash one of those checks? Again the working middle class is getting squeezed, since we are the only ones that pay more than our share of taxes.
